Teaching online nowadays is a must due to the worldwide pandemic and if we are looking for a better way to reduce our teaching talk, videos are the solution. Videos do not only transport us to other places and locations from the world, but they also can offer us other advantages to world language teachers which are: Listening opportunities of the target language and critical thinking settings so our students can do something more than listening to us speak.
Recently my online and in classroom activities have been invaded by videos and I really love this invasion because it has made this process of returning to school so much easier and the most important thing of all, it has decreased the students anxiety in some ways. Videos allow opportunities to laugh and to watch other scenarios than allow students to open the doors of their creativity.
As a teacher I dedicate half of my time trying to make videos or to look for videos that enhance the world language experience of my students in my classroom. Take a look at my store and hope you find these videos as useful as I do. Thank you for reading this micropost and I would love to hear from you. How do you use videos in your class?
