As Covid 19 makes a new home in our world, the education field is getting re-shaped and what we thought we would never use in our classrooms, now become a necessity. As a Spanish teacher with experience in online, hybrid and in person classrooms I have had the opportunity to come across fantastic apps that have helped me made my Spanish classroom more interactive and more formative assessment friendly!. Today I would like to share them with you!
Nearpod
Easy to use, intuitive, perfect for formative assessment and full of resources, this app is perfect for online classes. Teachers can create a class and students can join using a code, pretty much like Kahoot. This app gives the teacher the chance to ask studens questions, play games, make quizzes and other activities that were impossible in the past. Totally recommended!
I have been using this since 2019 and I just love it. Thanks to this app I have been able to make my classes more interactive, easier and paperless. God bless technology always! It is free but you have to pay if you want all the nice features. The good news is that with the basic features you can carry on with a Spanish class without a problem. It allows you to record your voice in assignments and students can do it as well! Perfect for speaking assignments!
Well this is actually not an app but it is full of resources that you can use either in an online or in person classroom!. The website of Teachers Pay Teachers has created an app though, called EASEL and you can make your pdfs more interactive. On this platform many teachers share their resources also for free and this resources are also paperless, interactive and formative assessment free.
